Lumineers

Do you wish you could improve the appearance of your smile without the hassle of a lengthy and painful process? With Lumineers you will not have to! Lumineers provide a quick and painless way to create a brilliant new smile! Beautiful and durable, Lumineers will last you up to 20 years, yet can be easily removed.

Lumineers can be used to fix

  • Cracks
  • Chips
  • Breaks
  • Misalignment
  • Discoloration
  • Gaps

The placement of Lumineers only requires two visits to our dental office. During your first visit, we will take a mold of your teeth. Then, together, we will decide which shade of porcelain is best for you. Since there is usually no grinding, there is no need to wear any temporary crowns while we create your custom-fit Lumineers. On your second visit, your Lumineers are painlessly applied within an hour.

Lumineers work well for children and teens, whose dental nerves are closer to the surface and for whom the removal of enamel is especially risky. Lumineers, unlike many restorative procedures, are made of wafer-thin porcelain so there is no need to remove healthy tooth enamel in most cases.

Veneers

There’s no reason to put up with gaps in your teeth or with teeth that are stained, misshapen, or crooked. A veneer placed on top of your teeth can correct nature’s mistakes and undo the results of an injury. Veneers help you have the beautiful smile you’ve always wanted. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front side of teeth. When receiving dental veneers it’s necessary to remove a small amount of enamel from your teeth to accommodate the shell and provide you the best cosmetic result. We recommend that you avoid some foods and beverages that may stain or discolor your veneers such as coffee, tea or red wine. If you have any questions about veneers, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’re happy to help you.

Natural-Looking Crowns

A crown or cap encases a tooth in a material to restore the tooth to its natural strength and full functionality. While some cavities can be treated with fillings, severely damaged or fragile teeth may require crowns. Crowns may also replace a filling that has worn out. The crown strengthens the tooth and smoothes over imperfections to enhance one’s smile. Before a crown is applied, the decayed portion of the tooth is removed. An impression of the tooth is taken so the custom-made crown will fit exactly over the dimensions of the tooth. Finally, it is applied permanently to the tooth, lending support and enhancing the tooth’s appearance.

Bonding

Bonding replaces chips, cracks, and gaps in the teeth as well as corrects misshapen teeth. Bonding is done with a material called composite resin, better known as white (or tooth-colored) filling. Much less invasive than amalgam (metal) fillings, and much safer than fillings containing mercury, composite resin also endures twice as long as metal fillings. Composite resin is available in a variety of shades to perfectly match the natural color of surrounding teeth. Bonding can greatly improve both the look and functionality of your smile.

The bonding process attempts to conserve as much of your natural tooth as possible. First, a very mild etching solution is applied to the tooth surface, creating tiny crevices that enable the composite resin to bond better. Then, layer by layer, the composite resin is applied, with each layer hardened by a special light. When the last layer has solidified, it is finely polished to create a smooth, attractive surface.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a popular method for improving the appearance of one’s smile. Teeth become discolored for several reasons, including staining from coffee, tea, tobacco, and certain medications; from excessive brushing in which enamel is scraped from the teeth; or from the natural changes that occur with age in the mineral composition of bones. If your teeth are dark or uneven in color or if you simply desire a more radiant shade for your teeth, you can visit us to get a brighter smile.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

A filling is a material used to replace a hole in a decayed tooth to restore its structure and functionality. It is important to treat cavities early to prevent further decay, pain, and infection. We offer fillings that will match the color of surrounding teeth so your smile will look complete. Call us today to set up an appointment or to get more information about our tooth-colored fillings.
